Argentina sees 90% of indebted youth using loan apps lack regular income
A recent report indicates that nine out of ten Argentine youths who are indebted through loan applications do not have regular earnings. Many of these young people, up to 40 % of those surveyed, take out credits to repay other loans, and two‑thirds of workers in the 18‑35 age group are employed informally.
The study also notes that a large share of indebted youth still live with their parents, while credit‑card debt among 18‑ to 35‑year‑olds in Buenos Aires rose 55 % over the past year. The findings highlight mounting financial vulnerability among Argentine young adults who rely on high‑cost digital credit facilities despite lacking stable income.
