Barcelona cuts lanes on Ronda de Dalt to speed tunnel work

From 2 August to 24 August the Barcelona City Council reduced the Ronda de Dalt between exits 5 and 6 to two lanes per direction to allow installation of cable, safety, ventilation and lighting systems for a future tunnel. Night‑time road closures that began on 20 July will continue until 6 August, overlapping with the lane reduction and potentially increasing traffic delays.

The works cover a 340‑metre stretch, extending earlier coverage between the Vall d’Hebron market and the IES Vall d’Hebron. Completion of this phase will enable the next, more complex technical stage of the tunnel project.
