Argentina strengthens ties with France through cultural and economic summits

Argentina will host various cultural and economic events in France to strengthen bilateral ties. The 'Semana Viví Francia 2026' is an 18th edition cultural festival taking place in Buenos Aires and several provincial cities, including Mendoza, Mar del Plata, and Córdoba. The program features French music, theater, cinema, fashion, and gastronomy.

Concurrently, the 'Argentina Week' will be held in Paris from September 30 to October 2. This economic summit aims to attract international capital in the mining and energy sectors. The event will bring together approximately 14 Argentine governors, national officials, and business leaders to meet with executives from major European companies, including TotalEnergies, ENI, Glencore, Rio Tinto, and Eramet.

Key sessions are scheduled at the OECD, the International Energy Agency, and the International Chamber of Commerce. Discussions will focus on critical minerals, nuclear energy, technology, artificial intelligence, and legal security for international trade.
