Argentina tenders Chapadmalal tourist complex hotels for 30-year concessions
The Argentine government, through the State Property Administration Agency (AABE), has officially launched a public tender for the commercial exploitation of six hotels within the Chapadmalal Tourist Unit for 30-year periods. The initiative aims to attract private investment for the restoration, maintenance, and operation of the complex located between Mar del Plata and Miramar.
As part of the restructuring, three hotels have been transferred to the National University of Mar del Plata (UNMDP) to establish the ‘Dr. René Gerónimo Favaloro Campus’. This educational project will include student housing, classrooms, laboratories, and sports areas. Additionally, two properties will be ceded to the Municipality of General Pueyrredón to host a primary healthcare center.
Because the structures are designated National Historic Monuments, all works must comply with environmental and urban regulations under the supervision of the National Commission of Monuments. Potential investors must participate in mandatory site visits scheduled for late October and early November to assess the physical condition of the buildings. The opening of bids is scheduled for November 27.
