Argentina weather rescues: Families stranded by snow and wind

Severe weather conditions, including heavy snow and high winds, have triggered multiple rescue operations across different regions of Argentina.

In Santa Cruz, police rescued a 25-year-old woman and her 2-year-old daughter after their vehicle became stuck in a snowbank near Provincial Route 39 East. The pair had been stranded since the previous night while traveling from Perito Moreno toward Pico Truncado. They were transported to a medical post and found to be uninjured.

In Neuquén, intense storms featuring snow and wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h caused widespread disruption. Emergency teams rescued a family, including a pregnant woman, who became stranded on Provincial Route 13 in the Primeros Pinos sector. Additionally, six people were rescued in Villa El Chocón after their boat was damaged by strong gusts, with some individuals suffering from early signs of hypothermia.
