In Argentina, fatalities and injuries occurred in San Martín de los Andes, where 76-year-old Ani De La Cruz Riffo died following exposure to freezing waters in Lago Lácar; despite resuscitation efforts, she suffered a severe decompensation. Subsequent reports indicate that severe weather, including heavy snow and wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h, has necessitated multiple rescue operations in Argentina. In Santa Cruz, police rescued a 25-year-old woman and her 2-year-old daughter after their vehicle became stuck in a snowbank near Provincial Route 39 East. In Neuquén, intense storms caused widespread disruption, leading to the rescue of a family, including a pregnant woman, on Provincial Route 13. Additionally, six people were rescued in Villa El Chocón after their boat was damaged by strong gusts, with some individuals suffering from hypothermia.
