Argentina's 34th Children's Book Fair Returns to Buenos Aires Convention Center

The 34th Feria del Libro Infantil reconvenes at its historic venue, the Centro de Convenciones Buenos Aires, from July 11 to August 2. The opening ceremony will take place on July 17, featuring a speech by author and illustrator Isol, who said, “Será un honor para mí como creadora… presentar la Feria con una charla.” Entry is free throughout the event.

The fair expands to more than 3,000 m² of exhibition space, hosts over 70 stands, and includes two permanent performance plazas. Programming offers presentations, workshops, music, theatre, and activities for children and families. A professional gathering for the book sector is scheduled for July 22, and teachers’ and mediators’ sessions run July 23‑24. The Premios Pregonero awards ceremony will be held on July 31, recognizing categories such as Honor, Institution, Specialist, Communication, Library, Bookstore, Narrator, and Theatre/Music/Títeres. Mascots Lolo, Lina and Lily return for the festivities. The fair is organized by the Fundación del Libro, whose president Christian Rainone noted the return to the original site allows for greater space, more exhibitors and a focus exclusively on children’s literature this year.
