Argentina's ADEPA condemns Milei's insults and court order against journalists

The Argentine press‑freedom association ADEPA issued a statement denouncing President Javier Milei’s verbal attacks on journalists, including Débora Plager and Marcelo Bonelli, calling the insults a hostile and intimidating climate for the media.

ADEPA also rejected a precautionary judicial measure imposed by Judge Walter Federico Saettone that bars journalists from contacting or publishing personal information about a complainant in the AFA case involving club president Claudio Tapia. The association said the order lacks concrete facts, threatens free reporting on matters of public interest, and violates constitutional protections for press freedom.
