Argentina's August 2026 Book Fairs Attract Thousands of Readers
The 2026 Santa Fe Book Fair will run from 26 to 30 August at Estación Belgrano, featuring more than 70 publisher stands and 90 cultural activities. Invited writers include Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, Tamara Tenenbaum, Joaquín Linne and others, with an opening conference by Cabezón Cámara.
The Jujuy Book Fair, under the theme “Memorias a Escena”, takes place 7 – 15 August across venues such as El Cabildo, the Centro de Arte Joven Andino and Teatro Mitre. Over 300 activities are scheduled, with authors like Felipe Pigna, Selva Almada, Darío Sztajnszrajber and Julio Mendivil, plus a strong educational programme offering more than 20 school‑related projects.
The Bragado Book Fair opens 6 – 9 August at the Centro Cultural Florencio Constantino. Free entry, a program of talks, exhibitions and performances includes author Paula Bombara’s opening lecture, and appearances by national writers such as Selva Almada and Federico Jeanmaire. All three fairs anticipate large local attendance and aim to promote reading, cultural exchange and regional literary production.
