Argentina's CGT Formosa and Rosario Municipal Unions Reelect Leaders

On July 5, Hilario Martínez was re‑elected as secretary‑general of the CGT regional federation in Formosa, Argentina. The vote involved only confederated unions listed on the official roll; Martínez said the process was transparent and pledged to expand political and professional training, as well as establish sub‑delegations throughout the province.

On July 31, Antonio Ratner was re‑elected secretary‑general of the Municipal Union of Rosario for a term lasting until 2030, with more than 70 % of the registered members voting and a gender‑balanced board. Ratner highlighted the strong participation, noted the absence of an opposing list, and warned of challenges in wage negotiations and limited dialogue with the municipal government.
