Argentina and Uruguay roll out winter tourism campaigns for 2026

The Bioparque M’Bopicuá in Montes del Plata, Uruguay, will reopen to the public for free visits from June 27 to July 5, offering guided tours of native wildlife, an interactive visitor centre and educational activities during the winter holidays.

In Argentina, the Chubut province officially launched its 2026 Winter Season for the Andean region at Lago Puelo National Park, highlighting the area's nature, snow sports and cultural attractions. The event gathered provincial tourism officials, local mayors and private‑sector representatives to promote the destination.

The Río Negro government held a meeting in Villa Llanquín to plan tourism development in emerging sites, emphasizing sustainable growth, safety standards and environmental protection within the protected area.

Separately, the Entre Ríos tourism board presented its winter campaign in Buenos Aires, branding the province as the “Official Winter Seat” and unveiling a thematic bus, mascot Carpi and promotional materials to attract visitors to its microrregions, hot springs and gastronomy.
