Argentina's Justicialist Party convenes to discuss expulsions, pension reform and rally for Cristina Fernández

The Justicialist Party (PJ) of Entre Ríos met on 13 June in Paraná to consider disciplinary action against members who supported rival lists in the 2025 legislative elections. The party also debated the possible removal of the open, simultaneous and mandatory primary system (PASO) and reviewed the pension reform proposal promoted by Rogelio Frigerio, urging a unified vote in the provincial legislature.

Separately, PJ leaders and allied organisations announced a nationwide rally for “Cristina libre” to be held on 20 June at Parque Lezama in Buenos Aires, marking a year since former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner began house arrest. The event, scheduled for Flag Day, will feature speeches, a press conference in the Senate, and a “Cristina Libre” festival at the former ESMA on 13 June.
