Entre Ríos OSER health plan overhaul boosts coverage and cuts deficit

Governor Rogelio Frigerio presented the results of the transformation of the Obra Social de Entre Ríos (OSER). The intervention reduced the institutional deficit by 30 % and added more than 300,000 medical prestations, 80,000 consultations, 120,000 procedures, 100,000 covered prescriptions and over a hundred additional hospitalisations. More than 1,100 patients awaiting prosthetic surgeries received treatment after a legacy debt of over 10 billion pesos was regularised. New doctors, clinics and laboratories were incorporated, expanding the provider network across the province.

The administration also launched the digital platform MiOSER, which processes over 500 electronic transactions daily via QR‑code orders, streamlining prescriptions and authorisations. A forthcoming vademécum will clarify medication coverage criteria. Frigerio said, “A mí me gusta que me juzguen por los resultados y hoy tenemos resultados concretos para mostrar,” and added that “es posible mejorar la atención, aumentar las prestaciones y ordenar las cuentas.” The governor highlighted that the financial and administrative re‑ordering made it possible to improve care while expanding coverage for families in Entre Ríos.
