Argentina's La Rioja and Spain expand tourism subsidy programs

The La Rioja provincial government in Argentina launched the PreViaje Riojano scheme, reimbursing 50 % of expenses for tourists who use approved local services. Early participants include a visitor from Córdoba and two travelers from Buenos Aires, who took tours of the Talampaya National Park and other attractions.

Spain's Ministry of Social Rights approved an expansion of the Imserso thermal‑tourism program, adding 9,000 spa places per year for pensioners in 2027‑2028. The plan allocates more than €72 million in funding and is projected to generate about €433 million in economic activity, while supporting active aging and rural spa towns.
