Argentina’s Misiones and Chubut provinces launch tourism programmes

The Ministry of Tourism in Misiones held a training session at the Parque Temático de la Cruz to strengthen the Ruta de las Aves bird‑watching corridor. More than 20 local entrepreneurs and municipal representatives from Santa Ana, Loreto, Cerro Corá, San Ignacio and Campo Ramón participated, and the second edition of the "Volar" event was announced for 14‑15 November, featuring workshops, talks and field trips. Damián Lozano of Aves Argentinas highlighted the province’s ongoing partnership with the ministry, which was created by a provincial decree sanctioned in January 2025 under Governor Hugo Passalacqua.

In Chubut, officials launched the 2026 Winter Season in Córdoba, promoting the province’s snow‑ and whale‑based tourism and unveiling a direct Aerolíneas Argentinas flight between Córdoba and Esquel. The event gathered more than 120 tourism professionals from Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Chubut, and emphasized the importance of air connectivity for regional economic development, a priority cited by Tourism Minister Diego Lapenna and Governor Ignacio “Nacho” Torres.
