Argentina's Museums Open New Exhibitions on Nature and Indigenous Cultures

The Museo Evita Palacio Ferreyra in Córdoba inaugurated the collective exhibition “Fuerza Natural” on Thursday. The show brings together seven projects by Argentine artists that explore memory, territory, nature, technology and human‑environment relations. It will be on view until 15 November, and the opening was attended by Marcelo Rodio, head of the Córdoba Culture Agency, along with provincial officials, curators and the public.

In Buenos Aires, the Isaac Fernández Blanco Museum of Hispanic American Art opened the photographic exhibition “Fueguinos” at its Palacio Noel venue on 7 August. The display, running through 16 November, features 19th‑ and 20th‑century photographs of the Selk’nam, Kawésqar and Yagan peoples of Tierra del Fuego, examining how colonial visual narratives were constructed. The exhibition is supported by the City of Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture, Mecenazgo Cultural and Banco Santander, and includes works by anthropologist Martín Gusinde and explorer‑photographer Alberto María de Agostini.
