Argentina's parties stage final campaign rallies before municipal elections

In the final days before the municipal elections slated for 2 August, several Argentine political coalitions are holding their traditional closing events. The Frente Cívico, presenting the Llamil Abdala‑Chueco Blanco formula, will meet on 29 July at the Central Argentine Club, with all its candidates and Senator Gerardo Zamora in attendance. The Partido Justicialista is scheduled to close its campaign at the Club Agua y Energía, also on 29 July, featuring candidates for council seats, the Abdala‑Chueco Blanco ticket and senior Peronist leaders such as Senator José Emilio Neder.

Other groups have announced their own finales: the Frente Renovador y Progresista plans a rally on 29 July (venue to be confirmed); La Libertad Avanza will hold its last act on 30 July at Club Tiro Federal, showcasing mayoral candidate Miguel Torres and vice‑mayoral candidate provincial deputy Beatriz “Bety” Luján. The campaign period has been unusually brief, lasting only three weeks, with candidates focusing on neighborhood visits and direct dialogue with residents.
