Argentina's President Milei Records Highest Disapproval Rating

Two June surveys show a sharp decline in support for President Javier Milei. A Management & Fit poll of 2,600 adults found disapproval at a record 58.2%, the highest level since he took office, with 55.4% of respondents saying they would vote for a total change of government. Economic concerns such as inflation, corruption and insecurity were the main drivers of the negative sentiment.

A separate study by the University of Buenos Aires’ Observatorio de Psicología Social Aplicada reported an even higher disapproval figure of 62.8%. In a hypothetical runoff, the provincial governor Axel Kicillof would beat Milei 48.2% to 39.3%. Among those wanting a change, 39.7% would support a Kirchnerist alternative and 26.9% a non‑Kirchnerist Peronist option. The polls also highlighted widespread dissatisfaction with the economy, with 60.6% rating it as bad or very bad.
