President Javier Milei nominates judges to key federal court in $LIBRA probe

President Javier Milei signed six judicial candidate pliegos and sent them to the Senate for approval. The list includes Pablo Yadarola and Pablo Bertuzzi, proposed as members of Sala I of the Cámara Nacional de Apelaciones en lo Criminal y Correccional Federal, the tribunal that will review decisions in the $LIBRA cryptocurrency investigation involving Milei and his sister.

The government also appointed Ana María Cristina Juan as judge of the Federal Court of First Instance in Hurlingham; she is the wife of Marcelo Martínez de Giorgi, the judge leading the $LIBRA probe. Senate hearings are scheduled to consider a total of 25 pliegos covering judges, prosecutors and other judicial positions, alongside public contests for 40 federal prosecutor posts in several provinces.

These moves reflect the Milei administration’s broader effort to fill vacancies in the federal judiciary and shape the composition of courts handling high‑profile corruption and financial crime cases.
