Argentina's San Juan and Mar del Plata face strong winds and rain in early August

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) forecasts that San Juan will experience two windy days on Monday, 3 August and Thursday, 6 August, with gusts that may exceed 50 km/h. Temperatures will range from 6 °C to 19 °C, and no precipitation is expected on either day.

In Mar del Plata, the forecast for Monday, 3 August predicts mostly cloudy skies, drizzle in the morning and a chance of isolated showers later, with temperatures between 9 °C and 14 °C. Winds will come from the east‑southeast at 7–22 km/h, without significant gusts. The SMN estimates a 10–40 % probability of rain throughout the day, and cooler, unsettled conditions are expected to continue in the following days.
