Argentina's San Juan and San Vicente roll out agricultural mineral and environmental education programs

Producers in the San Juan province received training on the use of minerals such as copper oxichloride, diatomaceous earth and magnesium sulfates for soil correction, fertilisation and pest control. The event, organised by the Ministry of Production, Labour and Innovation together with local companies, aims to help small and medium producers expand from the provincial market to national and international markets.

In the San Vicente district, Environment Month activities brought students and community members to a native plant nursery and the Laguna nature reserve. Participants learned about native species, composting, seed planting and tree planting, and the reserve offered free native tree adoption, workshops on traditional Chinese medicine and children's nature programmes. Both initiatives seek to boost local agricultural productivity and environmental stewardship in Argentina.
