Argentina's Santa Fe and Misiones launch incentive schemes for culture and startups
Governor Maximiliano Pullaro of Santa Fe signed Decree 1029/2026, implementing the regulation of Law 14.365. The new regime creates a mixed‑financing system that lets taxpayers allocate up to 10% of their gross income tax to approved cultural, artistic and heritage projects across the province. The Ministry of Culture announced a fiscal quota of 2 billion pesos for 2026, describing the measure as “a very good piece of legislation.”
The Misiones legislature approved a provincial framework to attract and develop tech‑based startups. The law offers exemptions or deferrals of the provincial income‑tax and other levies, priority access to training, incubation and acceleration programmes, and creates a mandatory registry for tech companies. Lawmakers highlighted the goal of turning Misiones into a “Silicon Misiones” hub, noting more than 165 innovation projects already incubated, and stressed the need to stay competitive with neighbouring cities such as Ciudad del Este and Foz de Iguazú.
