Argentina's ski resorts Los Puquios and Cerro Bayo launch 2026 winter season
Los Puquios ski park, located on Route 7 near Mendoza, reopened for the 2026 winter season with its sled stadium, magic‑carpet lifts, equipment rentals, dining and picnic areas. The resort continues artificial snow production and is preparing the ski‑school and snowboard piste, as well as a third sector for full ski and snowboard operations before the school holidays. Promotional daily passes of AR$50,000 are available until 30 June, after which high‑season rates apply.
In Villa La Angostura, Cerro Bayo opened its beginner sector on 13 June, becoming the first Argentine ski centre to start the 2026 season. The mountain now offers 280 ha of skiable terrain, 25 runs, a new quadruple chairlift, upgraded snow‑making cannons, a Pistenbully 600 groomer and a kids’ magic carpet. A "Winter Pass" program bundles discounts on lodging, dining, excursions and commerce. Besides skiing, visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, tubing, panoramic rides and a range of Patagonian‑style restaurants on the mountain.
