Argentine Army to launch first nanosatellite via SpaceX

The Argentine Army is preparing for the launch of its first nanosatellite, the Evaluador Tecnológico NanoSat (ETNS), scheduled for late October 2026. Developed in collaboration with the Institute of Scientific and Technical Defense Research (CITEDEF), the CubeSat-type platform will be launched from California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

The primary mission of the ETNS is to serve as a technological demonstrator. It will test various domestic technologies in real space conditions, including navigation, communications, power supply, orientation control, and electronic components. This project aims to build technical expertise for future, more complex space missions within the Ministry of Defense's satellite program.
