Argentine educational institutions launch environmental awareness programs

Educational institutions in Argentina are implementing various environmental awareness and recycling programs. In Necochea, the Municipal Directorate of Environmental Management visited CEC N° 801 to provide educational talks to students. The session focused on the impact of plastics and urban solid waste, specifically supporting students currently working on a bioplastics production project.

In Río Gallegos, Kindergarten N° 1 inaugurated a ‘green point’ for the collection of PET bottles and paper as part of its long-standing ‘Ecoguardianes en Acción’ project. This initiative, coordinated with the Nueva Santa Cruz recycling plant, allows the local community to drop off recyclable materials. The program aims to foster sustainable habits and environmental responsibility from early childhood.
