Argentine municipalities implement LED public lighting upgrades
Municipalities in Argentina are implementing infrastructure projects to modernize public lighting using LED technology.
In Pueblo Andino, Communal President Federico Martello announced an integral lighting plan aimed at various neighborhoods. The project, part of the Brigadier Plan, involves the acquisition of 430 columns, 83 arms, and LED lighting fixtures. Implementation is expected to begin within 20 to 30 days once funds are deposited. The initiative seeks a sustained expansion of coverage, targeting nearly 100% replacement in Quebradas 2 and approximately 60% in Santa Rosa.
In Villa María, the local government has begun installing new LED lights in central streets as part of the ‘Villa María 100% Luces LED’ program. Recent operations included the installation of eight reinforcement columns in the central district to improve light uniformity and security. The administration aims to install a total of 200 columns to ensure each block has at least three, covering the area within the four boulevards and various residential sectors.
