Argentine municipalities launch support programs for local producers
The municipality of Río Grande in Tierra del Fuego held a meeting with poultry and pork producers participating in the RGA Avícola and Carne Porcina Local programmes. Attendees received tools for cost management, planning and access to a 25 % discount on logistics services through an agreement with Andreani. Municipal Secretary of Productive Development Facundo Armas highlighted the state’s role in providing concrete assistance to strengthen local food production.
In San Juan province, the Ministry of Production presented the 2026 Entrepreneur Survey in Sarmiento as part of the “San Juan Emprende” programme. Director of SMEs and Entrepreneurs José Carpino explained that the survey will collect data from all entrepreneurs – regardless of sector – via a QR‑code registration at the local economic development office. The information will be used to design targeted public policies, financial tools, training, networking opportunities and contests for the provincial business community.
