Argentine police officers perform life-saving interventions

Police officers in Argentina have performed emergency medical interventions to save the lives of two young children.

In General Roca, Inspector Julián Riquelme of the 47th Precinct administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to a baby aged one month and nine days who had stopped breathing. After the infant briefly regained breathing and then stopped again, officers used a police vehicle to rush the child to the Francisco López Lima Hospital, continuing resuscitation efforts during the transit. The baby eventually began to cry and was stabilized by medical staff.

In Concepción, Corporal Juan Barros saved a three-year-old boy who was choking. Responding to a plea for help from a bystander, Barros performed the Heimlich maneuver to clear the child's airway. The child was subsequently transported by police to the Miguel Belascuain Hospital, where he was placed under medical observation.
