Argentine police rescue three-week-old infant from choking

Police officers in Chimbas, Argentina, saved the life of a three-week-old infant who suffered from asphyxiation while being breastfed. The incident occurred at approximately 01:16 at the Mariano Moreno Operative Unit when a 33-year-old mother arrived in distress with the infant.

The baby was in critical condition, showing cyanosis and not breathing. Agent Mónica Sánchez performed immediate first aid, which led to slight improvement. During the emergency transport to the hospital, Corporal Garay continued performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The infant eventually expelled the obstructing fluid and began to cry.

The baby was admitted to the Báez Laspiur Health Center, where Dr. Brian Navarro confirmed the infant was out of danger and in optimal condition. The child was subsequently discharged to return home with their family.
