Argentina advances energy logistics and regional infrastructure projects

Argentina is seeing significant developments in energy logistics and regional infrastructure. In the Vaca Muerta region, Neuquén Governor Rolando Figueroa is advancing roadwork through agreements with oil companies to pre-finance essential routes. Simultaneously, Silos Areneros Buenos Aires is proposing a new logistics model to transport Paraná River sand to Vaca Muerta via large ships, aiming to reduce heavy truck traffic on highways.

In Santa Cruz, the energy sector is experiencing a resurgence as Compañía General de Combustibles (CGC) restarts drilling operations at the Tres Picos field after years of inactivity. This move is being hailed by local unions and provincial authorities as a vital sign of economic reactivation.

Infrastructure projects are also underway across various provinces. In Buenos Aires, a multi-billion peso tender has opened for the urban recovery of Arroyo Gúemes. In Río Negro, technical teams are assessing National Routes 22 and 151 for restoration, while Formosa is utilizing provincial funds to continue roadworks previously halted by federal funding cuts. Additionally, Mendoza is seeing increased interest in its southern regions as Vaca Muerta-related investments expand into Malargüe.
