Argentina implements digital and mobile public service initiatives

Various Argentine provinces and municipalities are implementing initiatives to modernize and decentralize public administrative services.

Río Negro is digitizing tourism authorizations to reduce bureaucracy, while Paraná has introduced the Intelligent Digital Processing system to transition all municipal procedures to a digital-only format by September. In Jujuy, a renovated Civil Registry office in La Quiaca has implemented electronic registration to speed up documentation processes.

Mobile service campaigns are also expanding access to essential documents. In La Pampa, the “El Estado con vos” program recently completed 62 free DNI transactions in General Pico and is scheduled to continue in Santa Rosa. Similar mobile operations are active in Chaco, targeting remote localities, and in Almirante Brown, where residents can access free DNI services. In Salta, the municipality is decentralizing driver's license renewals through local centers, and Buenos Aires is deploying mobile units to various neighborhoods to provide vaccinations, DNI, and passport services.
