Argentine provinces launch new public housing projects

The provincial governments of San Luis and Chaco are advancing construction of dozens of new homes to expand access to housing and stimulate local economies. In San Luis, 38 dwellings are being finished in the towns of Concarán, Tilisaraó and Papagayos, with work focusing on interior finishes, installation of fixtures and completion of utilities. The project is part of the “Tenemos Futuro” and “Progreso‑Sueños” programmes that aim to provide families with permanent homes while creating jobs.

In Chaco, the Institute of Provincial Urban Development and Housing (IPDUV) signed a cooperation agreement with the municipality of Laguna Blanca to build additional housing units. The pact, endorsed by IPDUV president Fernando Berecoechea and Mayor Claudia Panzardi, will soon begin construction, promising new homes and related employment for local builders and suppliers. Both initiatives illustrate the provinces’ commitment to social inclusion through public‑housing policy.
