Argentine schools celebrate 80 and 50-year anniversaries
Two educational institutions in Argentina recently celebrated significant anniversaries.
Escuela N°98 in Aldea Escolar marked 80 years of continuous operation. Originally established as a mobile school from 1921 to 1927, the institution moved to its current building in 1946. Director Karina Enciso described the school as the heart of the community, serving 60 primary and initial level students, while sharing space with secondary level Escuela N°7724, which has over 100 students. The celebration included local authorities, former directors, and alumni.
In Concepción del Uruguay, the Jardín Ardillitas of Escuela Nº1 Nicolás Avellaneda celebrated 50 years of service. Since opening in 1976 with 38 children, the kindergarten has expanded to four classrooms. The anniversary ceremony featured local officials, including María de los Ángeles Bonnín from the Dirección Departamental de Escuelas Uruguay, and honored former staff and students.
