Latin American educational institution anniversaries

Various educational institutions across Latin America are celebrating significant historical milestones. In Argentina, the Instituto María Auxiliadora marked 125 years in Río Gallegos, while the Centro de Educación Complementaria 801 in Tandil celebrated its 60th anniversary and adopted the name ‘Facundo Cabral’. Uruguay’s Escuela N.º 64 ‘José Enrique Rodó’ celebrated 125 years of service in Villa Tambores, an institution that has served as a community cornerstone since 1901.

Recent Argentine milestones include the 75th anniversary of Colegio La Asunción’s initial and primary levels, the 15th anniversary of EFA Santos Mártires, and the 10th anniversary of Escuela N°179’s ‘Peace Ambassador’ status. Centennial celebrations were held for Escuela N. º 264 ‘Domingo Faustino Sarmiento’ in Montes de Oca and Escuela N. º 520 Fortín Boquerón in Paraguay. Additionally, School No. 6108 in Las Mercedes, Villa Ocampo, is preparing for its centennial on November 3. In Peru, the María C. De La Puente Álvarez public school (N° 23015) in Palpa is celebrating its 106th anniversary with civic ceremonies and parades.
