Argentine Solidarity Movement launches solar energy campaign for Cuba
The Argentine Solidarity Movement (MASCuba) has relaunched its ‘Estamos con Cuba’ campaign to provide solar energy equipment to Cuba. Following a recent mission where 45 solar kits were distributed to families with electro-dependent children, the movement is now raising funds for larger systems.
The new goal is to acquire two powerful solar energy units, measuring 10 Kwh and 20 Kwh, for the Enrique Cabrera National Hospital in the Boyeros municipality of Havana. These systems are intended to ensure electricity for vital departments within the medical facility.
To raise the necessary funds, organizers are planning various activities across Argentina, including artistic festivals, discussions, and political-cultural events. Alberto Mas, a campaign promoter from the Argentine-Cuban Friendship House in Buenos Aires, noted that the initiative serves as a gesture of gratitude for Cuba’s historical international medical and educational contributions.
