Argentine students selected for national aerospace technology finals
Fifteen students from across Argentina have been selected as finalists for the 11th Argentine Technology Competition (OATec) – Aerospace Challenge. The competition, organized by the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA), drew 1,800 applicants from 297 schools nationwide.
Among the finalists are Luca De Leonardis from Esquel, who advanced by passing evaluations in mathematics, physics, and aerospace topics. Representing Mendoza are Juan Cruz Aguirre Ravlic from Colegio Universitario Central General José de San Martín, along with Ivo Giovarruscio and Mercedes Marón from the Escuela Técnica de la Universidad de Mendoza.
The final stage will take place on October 30 and 31 at the ITBA Technological District headquarters in Buenos Aires. Participants will be evaluated on their technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, manual skills, and presentation capacity. Winners of the competition can earn a 100% scholarship to study at ITBA.
