Argentine universities strengthen academic ties with Brazil

Argentine universities are strengthening academic and technological ties with Brazilian institutions through exchange programs and formal agreements.

The Universidad Nacional de Hurlingham (UNAHUR) hosted a delegation from the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo (IFSP). Students from both nations participated in an academic and cultural exchange, visiting UNAHUR facilities including biotechnology food pilot plants, electrical laboratories, metallurgy workshops, and agricultural teaching spaces.

Separately, the Universidad Nacional de Misiones (UNaM) and the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR) expanded their partnership. Rectors Sergio Katogui and Everton Ricardi Lozano signed a cooperation agreement to implement the Binational Program of Innovative Entrepreneurship and Mentors (PREIM). This initiative aims to foster innovation among students and graduates through joint project calls, academic mentorships, and international mobility opportunities. The visit also included the launch of a double degree program for Mechatronics Engineering.
