Argos‑Mikon Cultural Summer Series Launches with Eight Evening Events
The Municipality of Argos‑Mikon kicked off its "Cultural Summer" program for the week of 20 – 26 July, presenting eight scheduled cultural events. Highlights include a film screening of For Whom the Bell Tolls (1943) on Monday, a Karagiozis and rebetiko performance on Tuesday, a children’s Disney film Lilo & Stitch (2025) later that day, and a theatrical production of “Mama, Mother, Mom” on Wednesday. Thursday features a concert tribute to bouzouki composer Christos Nikolaopoulos at the Fichtia railway station and a children’s play of Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer at Kiveri beach. Friday continues with a performance titled “Tom Sawyer” in Koutsopodi, and Sunday concludes with a concert of “Malamenian words” in Kourtaki.
The programme has drawn strong attendance from locals and visitors, with organizers reporting that the blend of cinema, theatre, music and traditional activities has been received enthusiastically. Further concerts, stage shows and family‑friendly events are slated for the remainder of the summer, reinforcing the municipality’s role as a regional cultural hub.
