Arina Ialanji: Former judge cleared in asset integrity probe

The National Integrity Authority (ANI) has concluded its investigation into the assets and income of former Chisinau Court judge Arina Ialanji. The audit covered a nine-year period from August 2016 to April 2025, examining the assets and expenditures of Ialanji and her family members.

Investigators found no substantial discrepancies between Ialanji’s declared income and her acquired assets. While the audit noted certain items, such as a land plot that was not initially declared in 2020 but was subsequently reported, the inspector determined there was no basis to conclude that the legal regime for declaring assets and personal interests had been violated.

Reported assets included several vehicles, such as a Ford Fusion, a Honda Accord, a Toyota Prius V, and a Toyota RAV4. Additionally, Ialanji reported gifts from parents and in-laws valued at 250,000 lei between 2022 and 2024, including vacation tickets. Ialanji resigned from her judicial position during an external evaluation process.
