Aris BC faces Le Mans in Eurocup season opener

Aris BC is set to begin its Eurocup campaign with an away game against Le Mans in France. This marks the Greek team's return to a French arena after nearly 12 years. Historically, the two teams have met 10 times across various European competitions, with Le Mans holding six victories to Aris's four.

Le Mans enters the matchup following a strong performance in the French league, highlighted by a 103-97 win over Gravelines. A key player for Le Mans is American guard Carlos Stewart, who previously played under coach Giannis Kastritis at Varese. Stewart, who averaged 14.6 points in the Italian league last season, recently scored 29 points in his French league debut.

Regarding squad availability, Aris has seen improvements in player fitness. Jovitic and Mokoka have returned to training, and players Toliopoulos and Dimitrijevic are available after recovering from influenza. However, Pouliánitis and Tanoulis remain sidelined for rehabilitation, and Vasilis Spanakis may be excluded from the twelve-man roster.
