Arizona Cardinals activate cornerback Garrett Williams

The Arizona Cardinals have activated cornerback Garrett Williams from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Williams is set to return to practice following an Achilles tear sustained in December 2025.

Williams, a former third-round pick from Syracuse, has been a versatile asset for the Cardinals' secondary, capable of playing in the slot, on the boundary, and at safety. Prior to his injury, he received high praise from Pro Football Focus, which had ranked him among the league's top cornerbacks.

Head coach Mike LaFleur noted that the team will approach his return “one day at a time,” emphasizing the hard work Williams put into his recovery. Team captain Budda Baker also expressed excitement regarding Williams' return to defensive back drills.
