Armed robber steals 3.5 million baht in gold from Pathum Thani shop

An armed robber stole gold jewelry valued at over 3.5 million Thai baht from the Bangkok Golds shop in the Sam Khok district of Pathum Thani province. The incident occurred on a quiet evening, with the suspect entering the shop at 5:56 p.m. and completing the robbery by 5:58 p.m.

Witnesses described the suspect as a man in a black hoodie who acted calmly, speaking softly with a central Thai accent. He used a small handgun to order staff to the ground and forced an employee to hand over heavy gold necklaces. The thief escaped with 52 baht-weight of pure gold, including several large chains. Local police are currently reviewing security footage to identify the suspect.
