Armed robberies in Pathum Thani
Overview
A series of armed robberies occurred in Pathum Thani province in September 2026.
On September 10, a masked gunman using an automatic firearm and an iron bar robbed a TMBThanachart Bank branch in the Khlong Luang district, stealing approximately 1.5 million baht. The suspect fled in a grey Toyota Vios with forged license plates, which was later found burned in a wasteland.
On September 13, a different armed robbery took place in the Sam Khok district. A man wearing a black hoodie used a small handgun to steal gold jewelry valued at over 3.5 million baht from the Bangkok Golds shop. Witnesses described the suspect as acting calmly and speaking with a central Thai accent. Police are investigating both incidents.
