Armed robberies in Colombia seize more than 440 million pesos

In Santa Marta, a pair of motorbike‑riding gunmen intercepted a couple exiting a downtown bank, threatening them with firearms and stealing about 28 million pesos in cash, plus an additional three‑million‑peso haul from a companion. The total loss exceeded 41 million pesos, and one victim captured an image of the suspects on a cellphone, which authorities hope will aid the investigation.

In the rural El Bosque area of Páramo, Santander, eight armed men entered three family farms at night, subduing residents, looting cash, jewelry and other valuables. The coordinated assault resulted in a haul of more than 400 million pesos. Police have offered a reward of up to 30 million pesos for information leading to the perpetrators' capture.
