Armed robbery on Mexico-Puebla highway targets elderly passenger
An armed robbery occurred on the Mexico-Puebla highway involving a public transport unit traveling from Chalco to Pantitlán. Two young men, aged between 18 and 22, boarded the vehicle at the Segunda Salida de La Virgen stop and used a firearm to threaten passengers, ordering them to lower their heads to avoid being shot.
During the robbery, an elderly man was physically assaulted by the perpetrators. Witnesses also accused a female passenger of being an accomplice, noting that she appeared to be sending frequent messages and exited the vehicle alongside the robbers without losing any belongings. Passengers have called for increased police patrols in the area.
