Armenia's Pashinyan prioritizes peace treaty and enclave resolution

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has identified the signing and ratification of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan as his most critical priority, aiming for a resolution by 2031. Pashinyan outlined a vision for a post-peace era where border delimitation follows the Almaty Declaration, ensuring no enclaves or exclaves remain on either side through potential territorial exchanges.

He further emphasized that all communication and transport routes, including those under the TRIPP project, must remain open and functional to ensure regional connectivity. International observers, including Swiss officials, have noted positive dynamics in the peace process, though challenges remain regarding humanitarian issues.

In related economic developments, Oleg Bezyorov, CEO of Russian Railways, met with Pashinyan to discuss the management of Armenia's railway infrastructure. Bezyorov noted that investments through the South Caucasus Railway concession have totaled approximately 400 million dollars, contributing significantly to the national budget and employment.
