Armenia reports 363 juvenile criminal proceedings in H1 2026

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reported that 363 criminal proceedings involving minors were investigated during the first half of 2026. This represents an increase from the 344 proceedings handled during the same period in 2025.

Of these cases, 65 proceedings involving 79 individuals were sent to court with incriminating conclusions. The offenses included murder, attempted murder, causing serious bodily harm, sexual offenses, robbery, theft, hooliganism, and illegal circulation of weapons and drugs.

During this period, 44 minors were arrested, with 18 subsequently released from detention. Additionally, motions were filed in court to apply detention as a preventive measure for 27 minors, with 15 requests granted in full and 10 granted in part.
