Juvenile crime trends in Armenia

Overview

In the first half of 2026, Armenia's Investigative Committee reported 363 criminal proceedings involving minors, an increase from the 344 proceedings recorded during the same period in 2025.

Of these cases, 65 proceedings involving 79 individuals were sent to court with incriminating conclusions. Reported offenses included murder, attempted murder, causing serious bodily harm, sexual offenses, robbery, theft, hooliganism, and the illegal circulation of weapons and drugs. During this period, 44 minors were arrested, with 18 subsequently released from detention.
