Armenian Foreign Minister Arpine Sarkissian Welcomes Launch of EU Civilian Mission

Armenian Foreign Minister Arpine Sarkissian received Stefano Tomati, commander of the European Union’s civilian missions, to mark the start of the EU’s new partnership mission in Armenia. Sarkissian praised the effective cooperation between Armenia and the EU and thanked the Union for its continued support. The delegations discussed expanding collaboration in cyber‑crime combat, information operations, crisis management and the development of the NGN 112 operational centre. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen joint programmes and institutional reforms across border management, migration, and digitalisation.

The meeting underscored Armenia’s aim to strengthen ties with European partners while addressing security and governance challenges.
