Armenian courts confront reform demands and surge in European human‑rights cases

International law specialist Ara Ghazaryan urged Nagorno‑Karabakh displaced persons to file complaints with the European Court of Human Rights without delay, noting roughly 1,000 applications concerning 3‑4 000 individuals and the absence of return‑mechanisms in the peace agreement that forces reliance on individual legal actions.

In Yerevan, opposition politician Arshvick Minasyan pressed for the full bench of the Constitutional Court to participate in reviewing party applications and for the creation of a public‑accountability institute for each judge, alleging that relevant information is being ignored.
